Grays of Westminster presents
Mastering Black & White: a Photographic Workshop by Michael Eleftheriades
Fitzroy House, 37 Fitzroy Street, London W1T 6DX
Sunday, October 28th
2.00 p.m. until 5.30 p.m.
From the earliest photographs, to Henri Cartier Bresson’s decisive moments, Robert Capa’s grainy pictures of the Normandy landings, Robert Doisneau’s Parisian kiss, to Ansel Adams’ Yosemite photographs, we have been captivated by black and white. Even with the onset of Kodachrome and today’s incredible colour sensors, black and white not only refuses to go away but is as popular as ever.
In this new workshop, Michael Eleftheriades will be exploring what makes a successful b&w photograph, when to shoot in monochrome, and will be demonstrating the different ways to successfully convert your colour images using Photoshop and Lightroom. Finally, we will look at best printing practice for maximum impact of your images.
Attendees of all skill levels are welcome but please note that basic knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom would be beneficial. Slide notes will be sent to all attendees before the event. The event will end with a prize draw to win great prizes, including a copy of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.
The seminar will be held in central London, at Fitzroy House, 37 Fitzroy Street, London W1T 6DX.
The seminar will take place from 2.00 pm until 5.30 pm. A 30-minute period for Q&A will follow at the end of the seminar. The cost of the session will be £155 with a special price of £95 if you are a current Nikon Owner subscriber, and includes afternoon tea.
