AND THE WINNER IS…
Thank you for all of your excellent submissions to this month’s competition, themed Streetscape. Challenging as the theme was we had some brilliant photographs, and the winners are as follows:
First Place Winner
Suzanne Tanswell
House in Whitby
Suzanne commented, “Taken in Black & White to give the feel and mood of what I have learned about the area and the connection with the famously inspired fictional character ‘Count Dracula’. The stairs lead to the most famous Whitby Abbey and this link gives some explanation about the spot and Stoker’s supernatural fascination with the town.”
Suzanne is the lucky recipient of a £50 Grays of Westminster gift voucher – very well done!
Second Place Winner
Gavin Conlan
Gdansk, Poland
Gavin describes how this photo was taken, “On the walk back to the hotel I discovered this road by complete chance. The colour of the sky, the snow on the ground and the architecture made this really surreal – it was like stepping foot onto a movie set. The next day I walked down this street again but it had lost the surrealism the night light gave it.”
Gavin has won a £25 Grays of Westminster gift voucher – very well done!
The Springtime competition has begun!
With newly budded crocuses and daffodils popping up and the clocks soon to go forward we felt it would be appropriate to theme this month’s competition ‘Springtime’. Submit your entries to us in jpeg format, no larger than 10mb with a description of the Nikon equipment and settings used before 31st April 2014 for your chance to win one of two Grays of Westminster gift vouchers.
We very much look forward to seeing your entries!
