And the Winner Is… Grays of Westminster Photographic Competition

Winners of the Grays of Westminster
Street Life Photo Competition

1st Place – Rick Grant

D800 + AF-S 24-120mm f/4G VR, f/9, 1/100sec, ISO180

The lonely street vendor silhouetted against the textured wall transported us to Morocco in this shot, captured as if almost by chance. Well done to Rick for winning a £50 gift certificate and a Nikon Moleskine notebook!

2nd Place – Peter Tilley
Street Market, Waterloo Bridge

Nikon Df, AF-S, 50mm f1.8, ISO 1000, 1/80secs, f1.8

This heartwarming image brought a smile to everyone’s face. Peter took this shot on the way to the ice skating rink at Somerset House in December. It was cold, windy and there were very few people about, but these two ladies at the Burger Shack served excellent food and were very entertaining. Well done for winning a Nikon Moleskine notebook!

3rd Place – Stuart Meech

Nikon D300s + AF-S 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6G DX
18mm, ISO400, f/8, 1/160th sec

This atmospheric shot of a mystery man in hat and trench coat left us guessing. A very intriguing capture by Stu which wins him a Nikon Moleskine notebook!
