“First of all, I have to say I am not normally a “letter writer”, but felt it necessary to put fingertips to keyboard to convey my thanks to you at your wonderful shop.
It is fantastic to know that an establishment such as yours still exists. Not only is the shop an Aladdin’s cave packed full of Nikon goodies, but the service shown to customers is second to none. I can honestly say, hand on heart, that it is the best service I have received in a long, long time.
I purchased a used Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 lens from you back in December, and it developed a small fault with the focus selector switch. Not a huge problem, still under warranty, but a niggle nonetheless. I telephoned the shop, and explained that I was happy to return it to the shop in person as it is only an hour on the Tube from my home.
I also explained that I needed the lens to be returned to me by July 7th as I needed it on that date for an upcoming shoot. I was told it should be back by then, but if not, Grays would ensure I wasn’t without a lens for the shoot. When I got to the shop the lens was instantly exchanged for another mint condition 80-200mm.
I was not expecting this, and I believe it goes above and beyond as far as customer service goes.
I will be back in a couple of weeks to buy my next lens from you, (135mm f2 DC) and continue what I hope will be a long relationship with the best camera shop there is.
