Thank you again for all the fantastic submissions to this month’s photo competition themed Springtime. We had everything from springing lambs to daffodils, April showers, frogs and blooming flowers!
First Place Winner
David Thompson
Bluebell Wood
Nikon D3S + 24-70mm f/2.8G AF-S
Taken at Micheldever Woods near Winchester early in the morning to catch the sun rays.
Congratulations, David, you have one a £50 Grays of Westminster gift voucher!
Second Place Runner-Up
Gary Pocklington
Dandelion Clock
Nikon Coolpix 5400
The thought behind the image was that Dandelions are a sure sign that
Spring has arrived. When the flower turns to a seed head then it has a soft feel to it. This is what I was trying to achieve with the photograph. I felt that making the image Black and White also helped to convey the structure of the image while retaining the ‘soft’ feel to it.
Congratulations, Gary, you have one a £25 Grays of Westminster gift voucher!
Third Place Runner-Up
Ali Radwhani
Cherry Blossom
Nikon D7100 + 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S VR DX
Shot hand-held, taken in Ingatestone, London 2013.
Ali wins some Nikon goodies for his excellent entry!
